Sandy Gordon Coaches Association Hall of Fame

Congratulations to Ramapo High School Girls Basketball Coach Sandy Gordon who was inducted into the New Jersey Scholastic Coaches Association Hall of Fame on Sunday, January 14th.

Coach Gordon has coached the girls basketball team at Ramapo High School for 16 years. During that time she has led the program to over 325 victories including the 2009 & 2010 Bergen County Basketball Tournament Championship, the 2020 Sectional State Championship and the 2020 Group III State Championship. Additionally, she has guided the Raiders to seven league championships and in 2020 was named the Girls Basketball NJ.COM Coach of the Year.

In addition to basketball, Coach Gordon has also coached the Ramapo Girls Soccer Team (10 Years-Assistant Coach) and the Ramapo Girls Golf Team (5 Years-Head Coach). In fact, she was instrumental in starting the girls golf program in 2017. Prior to Coach Gordon’s return to Ramapo as a physical education teacher, she coached basketball at the collegiate level for over 20 years.

Coach Gordon is a proud graduate of Ramapo High School and is a member of the school’s Athletic Hall of Fame. As a student-athlete at Ramapo, she played soccer, basketball and softball. Following high school, she competed for the Manhattan College Women’s Basketball Team and is also a member of the Manhattan College Athletics Hall of Fame.
